Mary Kay Laird

Mary Kay Laird, 63, of Erie, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

She was born on August 13, 1961 in Erie, to Donald and Therese Laird.

Mary Kay graduated from Villa Maria Academy and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Dayton University. She started her career in Banking and went on to work in retail, where she helped open a Bose store in New York.

She enjoyed collecting figurines, jewelry, reading, writing, and theater, especially Broadway. Mary Kay most of all enjoyed the company of her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Donald L. Laird, and a sister, Deborah M. Laird.

Mary Kay is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Cioccio.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th St., Erie on Saturday, December 7th from 2 pm until the funeral service there at 6 pm. Private inurnment will take place in Whispering Pines Cremation Garden, Erie. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mary Kay's name to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, Mercy Shelter for Women, Erie City Mission, or to an MS or Alzheimers' charity of one's choice.
