Mary T. McCabe Clark of Lake City, PA passed away on February 16, 2024.

Born on August 10, 1930, in Meadville, she was the daughter of the late John and Rosemary McCabe.

A proud graduate of Mercyhurst Preparatory School, Mary also pursued higher education for two years at Mercyhurst College.

Mary's life was enriched by the love and companionship of her late husband, William E. Clark. She was also predeceased by her beloved grandson, Joshua M. Clark.

Her passion for travel often led her to visit family, and she held particularly dear the memories of family vacations to Hilton Head, South Carolina, and the Outer Banks, North Carolina. An avid reader and gardener, Mary found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life.

After dedicating many years to homemaking, Mary re-entered the workforce as a sales associate at Macy’s Department Store in Erie, where she remained for 20 years.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, reflected in her long-standing membership at St. John the Evangelist Church and her active participation in the Sisters Society during their residence in Girard.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Patricia Clark Thornton and her husband Ron Thornton of Orlando, Florida; Colleen Clark Radtke of Fort Worth, Texas; Deborah Clark and her husband Steve Dombrowski of Lake City, Pennsylvania; Mary T. Clark Ciesa and her husband Michael Ciesa of Dayton, Ohio; and her son, William E. Clark and his wife Suzanne Clark of Columbus, Ohio. She was a beloved grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Michael Ciesa, Christopher Clark, Jessica Ciesa Pedro and her husband Marc Pedro, Matthew Clark and his wife Sarah Clark, Clark Thornton, William Radtke, Elizabeth Thornton, Katherine Clark, Emily Radtke, Caroline Clark, and Emma Clark; and a cherished great-grandmother to Charlette, Audrey, and Barrett Pedro. Mary is also survived by her sister, Sister Joan McCabe of the Mercyhurst Mothers House in Erie, Pennsylvania. Proceeded in death by Rosemary Kaveney, Susan Smith, Cynthia Hartley, John McCabe.  

Friends are invited to call upon the family at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard, on Tuesday February 20, 2024, 4:00 to 7:00.  Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 AM Wednesday Feb 21, 2024, Sisters of Mercy Chapel, 444 East Grandview Blvd, Erie PA 16504.   Burial will follow at St Johns the Evangelist cemetery in Girard.
