Mary Ann Smith

MaryAnn Smith (DuFosse) - Age 82, of Erie - passed away on December 21st 2024 at home surrounded by loving family.

She was born July 25th, 1942, in North East, Pennsylvania; the daughter of Constance and Christine (Jensen) DuFosse.

MaryAnn attended North East High School, during which time she met and married David Smith in September of 1958. Together they had three children, one granddaughter, and three great grandchildren. 

She was a fierce advocate and nurturer for her loved ones. She spent many years providing care to her husband, who passed in 2017. MaryAnn enjoyed playing penny slots at the casino, shopping, and playing with her great grandchildren, who she lovingly referred to as her “little monkeys.” 

MaryAnn goes on to join all eight of her siblings: Constance, John, Harold, William, Robert, Henriette, Beatrice, and Hilda; parents, Constance and Christine; and spouse David M Smith. 

Remaining to cherish her memory are children, D. Christopher Smith, Heidi Smith, and Heather (Tom) Smith-Gabrielski; granddaughter, Kristin (Brady) Lynn; and great-grandchildren, Jensen, Iris, and Lorelei Lynn. 

Per her wishes, there will be no service.
