Martha Mikovich

Martha Mikovich, age 99, of Girard, passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family while listening to “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 5, 1926, a daughter of the late Allois and Helen Bartosek. She attended school in Albion and went on to work as an assembler at Marx Toys for many years. She loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, especially football. She enjoyed mowing her lawn and gardening and was known around the neighborhood for her straw hat.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Mikovich; three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her two sons, John Mikovich and his wife Patti, and Gary Mikovich and his wife Marcia; five grandchildren: Gary Mikovich, Jen Fails and her husband Tim, Lisa Mikovich, Matt Mikovich and his wife Aimee, and Allison Brocious and her husband Clay; ten great grandchildren, Marisa, Amber, Cole, Sarah, Ava, Hannah, Katie, Will, Michael and Molly; three great great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews and a special niece, Dorothy Rudd..

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard, on Tuesday from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.

The family with sad hearts said goodbye to their mom, grandmother and great grandmother on Christmas morning.
