Marjorie Kanonczyk

Marjorie (Madrid) Kanonczyk, age 71, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at UPMC Hamot Hospital after an extended illness.

Marjorie was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 19, 1954, to Felix and Josephine (Steinback) Madrid.

After graduation from Mount Tahoma High School, Marjorie would later go on to get her beautician’s license. She was mostly a stay-at-home mom and then later helped raise her grandchildren. She was an amazing mother and even better grandmother. She has raised many pets over the years, most of which were strays that she took in.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Josephine Madrid.

She leaves behind to cherish her in memory, her children: sons, Ryan Madrid and Richard Kanonczyk and daughter, Josy Kanonczyk and her grandchildren: Miranda, Kayla, and Joleena Kanonczyk; Alexandra Pollock, Evan and Asher Madrid and Giavanni Brasco.

Per Marjorie’s wishes, no calling hours will be observed and burial will be private.
