Marcia A. Scott

Marcia A. Scott, 87, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

She was born August 14, 1937, in Erie, a daughter to the late Arthur and Rose (Chase) Laird.

Marcia graduated from Strong Vincent High School. She retired from St. John’s School as a housekeeper. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Scott; a brother, David Laird; brother-in-law, Michael Bross; as well as her first husband, Edward Rice.

Marcia is survived by her two sons, David (Stephanie) and Jim Rice; brother, Arthur Laird (Roberta); sister, Jacquelynn Bross; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Laird; grandchildren, Jacob and Kyle Rice, whom she adored very much. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as a special niece who was named after her, Marcy.
