Lynn Beanland, age 68, of Fairview, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023.
She was born in Erie on March 6, 1955, a daughter to the late Frank and Dolores “Corkey” (Burket) Schwabenbauer.
Lynn graduated from Harbor Creek High School, class of 1974. She became a hair stylist and owned her own beauty shop in Harborcreek. She later moved to Fairview and provided in-home child care. After the death of her husband, she became employed with Fairview School District as a cafeteria manager/helper and with Blair Corporation as a telephone operator until her retirement.
Lynn was a member of Grace Church. She was a praise and worship leader and vice president of the Girard Chapter of Women’s Aglow, enjoyed playing the guitar, and was a member of the ministry team with the Lord’s Vineyard Christian Ministries. She was, most of all, a proud grandma to her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kent James Beanland; as well as a sister, Lois Dunkle.
Lynn is survived by her daughter, Shanna Lynn Valentin and her husband, Jonathon; two grandchildren, Elianna and Elijah Valentin; two sisters, Nancy Zewe (Jim) and Joyce Gapinski; two brothers, Frank Schwabenbauer (Trish) and Douglas Schwabenbauer (Chris); as well as a brother-in-law, William “Butch” Dunkle. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to call at the Burton Quinn-Scott Funeral Home, West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St., Erie on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 from 11 am until the time of service there at 2 pm.
