Louis Adamczyk

Louis David Adamczyk age 89, of Erie, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at St. Mary’s East.

Born on November 28, 1926 in Erie, a son of the late John and Antoinette “Tillie” Leszek Adamczyk.

He attended East High School and served in the U.S. Army. Louis was employed at F.W. Woolworth for 20 years and for Firch Baking Company for 16 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church for 63 years with his wife LuAn.

In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his siblings; 14 brothers and 1 sister.

In addition to his wife, Louis is survived by two sons, Charles E. Adamczyk (Kathy) of Erie and David M. Adams (Diane) of Crown Point, Indiana; one daughter, Patty Jean Adamczyk (Brian Hopper) of Fords, NJ. Louis also leaves 8 grandchildren, 3 great granddaughters, 2 great grandsons. A nephew, Alan Adamczyk of Erie also remains.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West 10th Street, on Friday from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm till 9:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am till the time of the service there at 11:00 am with sons David Adams “Synodically Authorized Minister” and Charles Adamczyk “Deacon”officiating.

Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family C/O Burton Funeral Home.
