Loretta Ann Young King

Loretta Ann Young King, age 87, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

She was born on March 25, 1938, in Corry, PA, daughter of the late Emmitt and Hazel Lay Young.

Loretta graduated from Corry Area High School in 1956. She then married Wayne Leighton King on April 13, 1957.

Employers included New Process (Blair Corporation), McInnes Steel, H & R Block, and Grossmans.

She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and enjoyed needlepoint, reading, and crossword puzzles. Relaxing at camp in the mountains of Warren Country was also one of her favorite pastimes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, brother, Dr. Reverend Emmit E. Young and sister, Deloris E. Young.

Survivors include her two sons, Kirk L. (Kimberly) King of Grafton, OH and Kevin Robert (Penny) King of Girard, PA; Two daughters, Karen Lee (Gordon) Webb of Texas and Kristin Lee King of Lawrence Park, PA; Five granddaughters, Amy Brzuz, Heidi Webb, Kara (Tony) Schwein, Callie (Jason) Bax, and Tanya Thomas; Five grandsons, James (Michelle) Elkin, Craig Webb, Daniel (Sierra) King, Brandon Boylan and Brad (Frankie) Boylan; Seventeen great-grandchildren, Aiden and Maddox Brzuz, James and Ryan Elkin, Hunter Tombaugh, Gunner, Gage, and Olivia Bax, Allison Sankey, Taylor King, Lilyannah and Brooklyn Schwein, Derek, Andrew and Grace Thomas, James Boylan and Samuel Boylan; A sister, Anita (Gary) Proper of East Branch, PA; a sister-in-law Sandra Young of Titusville, FL as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of one’s choice.

Private burial in Loomis Cemetery, Lincolnville, PA.
