Karen J. Covey

Karen J. Covey, age 76, of Erie, formerly of Zimmerly Road, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at her LECOM Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Erie on December 4, 1946, a daughter of the late Chester R. and Mary Elaine Bayhurst Covey.

Karen graduated from Academy High School in 1964.

She had worked for World of Science in the Millcreek Mall as a store manager and worked retail sales for W.T. Grant and G.C. Murphy.

Karen was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed swimming, bowling in the Frontier Bowling League and anything to do with Science.

Karen is survived by her brother Randy Covey (Mary Frances) of Erie, PA; two nephews, David Covey (Andrea) of Lititz, Pa and Michael Covey (Brittany) of Halifax, PA; and a niece, Jennifer (Nick) Parrett of Albion, PA.  She is further survived by her grandnieces and grandnephews, Keelyn, Erin, Meghan, Kayleigh and Brayden Covey, Oscar Parrett, Cadence and Grace Tempel.
