Justin G. Wood, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from natural causes. Born on April 28, 1985, in Erie, he was the beloved son of the late John (Jack) and Roberta (Bobbie) Foster Wood.
Justin was a 2004 graduate of Villa Maria Academy. He worked for many years at Allburn Florist, where he was known for his charm, humor, and tendency to run a little late—but always arrived with a smile. He was recently employed in the maintenance department at LECOM, where he continued to bring his steady work ethic and quiet good nature.
A true son of Erie, Justin loved his hometown deeply—especially Presque Isle, where he spent countless peaceful hours fishing – during every season. He was a loyal SeaWolves supporter and a passionate fan of Cleveland sports. He enjoyed video games, good conversation, and the calming influence of his favorite green pastime, gardening.
Above all, Justin cherished his friendships. Their bond was unshakable, filled with laughter, loyalty, and memories that will live on forever. Justin’s catchphrase, “I love it,” summed up his easygoing outlook on life and his gift for finding joy in the simple things.
He is survived by his uncle, Richard Wood of Erie; his aunts, Judy Idzik of Visalia, CA, and Sally Kujan of Miami, FL; his cousins, Tyler and Chris Wood; and several other cousins and many dear friends who will always remember his laid-back spirit, loyalty, and genuine heart.
Friends are invited to call on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Downtown, 602 W.10th St. from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Andrew Catholic Church.
