Judith C. McCollum Pennsy

Judith C. McCollum Pennsy age 87, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at UPMC Hamot.

She was born in Erie on May 10, 1939, a daughter of the late Norman and Marie Bechtel McCollum.

Judith was a 1957 graduate of McDowell High School. She spent the beginning of her career as a pharmacy technician ending her career as an aide at the Lancaster House for the Gertrude Barber Center for many years.

Judith loved living in Erie and enjoyed spending time on Presque Isle She was also very active with the JOY Senior Center in Millcreek and loved her get-togethers with her “Club Girls”. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Weed and her husband Louis; a brother, Frederick McCollum; a niece, Karen Botwright; a nephew, David Fortsch and a brother-in-law, Norbert Kuhl.

She is survived by her children, James Weese (Betsy), Loree Holliday (John Botwright) and Michael Weese (Kerriann); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Kuhl; and several nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her friend and physician, Brian Stark.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th Street, on Monday, August 24th from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m.
