Joseph DeVita Sr.

Joseph DeVita Sr., age 77, of Fairview, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at his residence.

He was born in Erie on August 13, 1948, a son of the late Joseph E. and Emmalou DeSantis DeVita.

Joe graduated from Cathedral Prep High School and went on the serve in the United States Army. He was the owner of Presque Isle Boiler Repair. He was a member of the Fairview Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Kinstler DeVita and two sisters, Diane Peelman and Danielle Peyton.

Joe is survived by his son, Joseph D. DeVita, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Fairview; three grandchildren, Noah Rodrigues, Lucy and Jacob DeVita; a sister, Charmaine Perry; a brother, James DeVita and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard on Friday April 10, 2026, from 3:00pm until the time of service at 6:00pm.
