Joseph Richard Artello ("Joe"), age 76, of The Villages in Florida passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital.
He was born in Albion, PA on July 15, 1948, a son of the late John and Margaret (Gresh) Artello.
He was a graduate of Northwestern High School, class of 1966 and Gannon University, class of 1971. Joe ran a local Clark Forklift Dealership and a local Bobcat Construction Equipment Company as well as a multi-state Caterpillar Forklift Company.
Joe enjoyed bowling, softball, the beach, Yoga and he had a 50-year love/hate relationship with golf. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a season ticket holder for a number of years. His favorite activity was spending quality time with his two children, one grandson and seven granddaughters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Marguerite Caravella and a brother Patrick.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, whom he married August 19, 1995 in Erie, Prudence (Allen) Artello, his daughters: Kristine Artello, Shelly Artello and her husband Dewayne Mikkelson; his sister Martha Rosettsky; his brothers: John Artello and his wife Kathy, Karman Dev; his sister-in-law Debra Artello. He is further survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends are invited to call on the family Monday, November 25, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard.
