Jose Antonio Cabeza

Jose Antonio Cabeza, age 81, of Erie passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Saint Vincent after a period of declining health.

Born September 27, 1944, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico he was the son of the late Ramon and Maria Julia Cabeza.

After graduating high school in Puerto Rico, Jose began a long and dedicated journey in the workforce, including a significant time at LaGuardia Airport in New York City. He followed his son to Erie and established a home for the last 20 years. He was a man of many interests; he loved music and had a particular fondness for 80s action and Western movies. But above all, his greatest joy came from being surrounded by his family, especially his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and a son, Jose Ramon Cabeza.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Carmen Iris (Torres) Cabeza; two sons, Albert (Nicole) Cabeza and Antonio (Omayra) Cabeza; in addition to many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., 602 W. 10th St., Erie.
