John K. Hotchkiss age 79 of Girard, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025, at UPMC Hamot.
He was born in Erie on September 26, 1945, a son of the late Stanley and Iva King Hotchkiss.
He was graduate of Girard Union High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. John moved back to Girard from Richville, Minnesota after retirement to take care of his family home. He worked for many years for the Railroad. He attended Lake City Presbyterian Church and loved watching hockey.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Janet Casey.
John is survived by a nephew, many cousins and several close friends and neighbors.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard, on Thursday March 6, 2025, from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
