John Hayford

John E. Hayford, age 80 of Girard, passed away on Monday June 1, 2026, at his residence.

He was born in Erie on December 12, 1945, a son of the late Roger and Marie Fenstermacher Hayford.

John served in the Army before working in the Plastic Injection Molding Industry. He was a member of the American Legion Millcreek Post #773. John enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Southwick Hayford; and his sisters, Shirley Ann Lindsey and Sue Snyder; and a brother Gerry Hayford.

John is survived by his stepson; Patrick Bierley and his wife Kathy; his stepdaughter, Teresa Richardson and her husband Robert; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his 3 brothers; Randy, Terry and Kippy Hayford, and 3 sisters; Sandy Flynn, Sindy Meyers and Romayne Hess.

Friends and family are invited to call at Burton Funeral Home 525 Main St E, Girard, on Sunday June 14, 2026, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm and attend a funeral service there on Monday June 15, 2026, at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
