JoAnn Sturdivant

JoAnn Sturdivant, age 84, passed away on Wednesday November 20, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in Fairview on February 16, 1940, the daughter of the late Elmer and Hazel Otteni Platz.

JoAnn graduated from Fairview High School, Class of 1958. She was employed as a bank teller for 20 years. She loved her family and her dog Pepper. She also loved horses and enjoyed horseback riding and traveling with her husband.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Sturdivant and her brother Joseph Platz and his wife Pinky.

She is survived by her son, Rodney Dean Sturdivant and wife Bonnie of McKean; her daughter, Gail Lynn Hoffmann and husband Herb of Conneautville, PA; her granddaughter, Alysia Marie Sturdivant (Nick) of Girard; her great grandson, Jackson and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard, on Saturday November 23, 2024, from 10:00am until the time of service at noon.
