Jennifer Calvelage

January 17, 1959 — July 9, 2022

Jennifer Lee (Altman) Calvelage age, 63, of Girard, PA, passed away unexpectedly on July 9th, 2022.

She was born on January 17, 1959 in Delphos, OH a daughter of the late David and Louann Altman.

She married her high school sweetheart, Brian, and their love and devotion was always central to their marriage. They were together for a total of 48 years and were to celebrate their 44th anniversary this November.

Jen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandma whose purpose was to give unconditional love and guidance to her family. She loved her children fiercely and without reservation, and her children always knew that they were immeasurably loved. Her role as a grandma was one that she reveled in and brought her unconditional joy.

Her Catholic faith guided her and she lived her life through the Gospel of Jesus. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Bread of Life Church for over 20 years where she was an active member, lecturing, volunteering for the Oktoberfest festival (theme baskets), and an inaugural weekly adorer in the Adoration Chapel.

Jen was the glue of her family and a woman who lived her life through action. She was a woman of strength, joy, and love, who also knew the importance of intentional fun. The last days of her life were spent surrounded by her immediate family, making memories and sharing laughter.

She will be missed and loved by her loving husband: Brian Calvelage (Girard), children: Jessica (Steve) Izzo of Beaver Falls, PA; Amber (Casey) Dutchess of Montclair, VA; and Isaac (Kim Boyd) Calvelage of Jefferson, OH. Grandchildren: Jackson, Lilyana, and Natalie Izzo, Lucy Goats, and Quinn Dutchess. Siblings: Laura (Craig) Schuster of Holland, OH; Tom (Lori) Altman of Polk City, FL; Bill (Sharon) Altman of White Cloud, MI; and Teresa (Bryan) Behm of Perrysburg, OH. She also is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her two beloved beagle boys Clyde and Duke.
