Jeffery G. Ritchie, age 62, of Fairview, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 following a brief illness.
He was born in Erie on October 2, 1963 to the late James E. and Charlotte L. North Ritchie.
Jeff graduated from Fairview High School in 1981. He began working for his family’s construction business, Ritchie Construction, at a young age and built a strong work ethic. He later found a passion for truck driving and spent over 35 years exploring several new places, meeting new people and creating life-long friendships.
Jeff was a devoted, proud husband and father who was always there for his family. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping in the Allegheny National Forest and sitting around campfires while enjoying cold beverages and listening to oldies music with family and friends. Jeff was a craftsman who enjoyed woodworking, home improvements, and watching car shows. He was a tinkerer; he could Macgyver anything to make it better. Jeff was a jokester, always making people laugh and smile.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, John Ritchie, and by his nephew, Dylan Ritchie.
He is survived by the love of his life, Lori Ritchie, whom he married on June 21, 1996. He is further survived by his daughter, Abigail Konwinski (Erik) of Bloomington, IL; his stepdaughter Jessica Dahlstrand (Dallas Steen) of Lawrence Park; his stepson, Jason Dahlstrand of Erie; his bonus daughter, Danielle Blackmond of Krum, TX; his sister, Becky Jo Wiest (Paul) of Holly Ridge, NC; his sister-in-law, Carol Momeyer Bearce Ritchie of Fairview; his best friends, his Great Pyrenees pups, Stanley and Hazel; as well as several other loving family and friends.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses at St. Vincent’s 8N for their caring, compassionate and comforting demeanor.
There will be no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be scheduled for later this year.
Arrangements are under the care of the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
