James Sledge

James Sledge, age 70, of Erie, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022 at UPMC Hamot Hospital. He was born May 1, 1952 in Gilbertown, Alabama to the late Nimrod Sledge and Minnie Ola Howard.

He is survived by his children, Jalisa Sledge, Devon Sledge, and Andre Thomas, his grandchildren, Ja’Saun Wilson, Ce’Yoni Wilson, and Soraya Thomas. James is further survived by his siblings Theodore Sledge, Norris Howard, James Howard, Anthony Lee, Delores Henderson, Minnie Vera Miller, Vonnie Jordan, and Barbara Hawkins. He is survived by his aunts Alice Campbell, Alma Poole, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife Nadine Sledge, a stepson Darnell Thomas, and his siblings, Mattie Nelson, Mary Sledge, and Catherine Sledge.

Friends are invited to call on the family Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 12:00 Noon, until 2:00 p.m. at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10^th Street, Erie.
