James Michael Kilgallon, Jr.

James Michael Kilgallon Jr. age 79, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital.

He was born in Carbondale, PA, on January 7th, 1947, the son of the late James M. and Jean Orsoyski Kilgallon Sr.

James served in the US Air Force in Vietnam in Thailand. He graduated from Technical Memorial High School in 1965 and then went to work at Erie Tool Works for 11 years, General Electric for 11 years, and the Warren Company for 19 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kilgallon and a sister, Patricia Balinski.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Benjawon Kilgallon; his son James Dee Kilgallon; his daughter in law Christina Kilgallon and grandchildren James and Nicole Kilgallon and Meredith Fernandez and her husband Freddie; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton Rose and Avery Nicole.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street on Thursday, April 30th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
