It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Beatman, of West Springfield, PA, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who departed this life unexpectedly on July 18, 2025, at the age of 55.
He was born on January 25, 1970, in Erie, to the late Charles and Jeannette A. (Stevens) Beatman.
James was a proud graduate of Northwestern High School and spent many years working as a welder at B.C. Fabricators, Inc. He dedicated his life to hard work and was known for his generosity. He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back in a time of need. He found happiness at the lake, where he enjoyed fishing for walleye and hunting. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his dog, Hunter. Above all, James was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his beloved wife, Jennifer, with whom he shared thirty wonderful years of marriage. His love for Jennifer was unwavering and they created a beautiful life together. He was very proud of his beloved daughter and "daddy's girl", Jamie Lynn and found great joy in being a grandfather. James held a special place in his heart for each of his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Joel Lindsey III; brother, Scott Beatman and Noble Beatman and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Hayes and Joe Frederick.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Jennifer (Benton) Beatman; daughter, Jamie Lynn (Beatman) Lawson and her husband, Nathan; grandchildren, Arieanna Lindsey, Charlie Lawson, Kolton Lawson, Daniel Lawson and Nathan Lawson; siblings, Sharon Hayes, Pam Lance (Tony), Billie Leonheart, Theresa Frederick and Robert Beatman (Barb); sister-in-law, Tara Benton (Josh Elder) and loved by many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his in-laws: Charles Benton (Lisa) and Regina Hibbard (Jim) along with many heartbroken friends at Virginia’s Beach Campground. Friends are invited to call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
