Jack M. Greenberg age 79, of Erie, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, 

He was born in Erie on September 23, 1945, a son of the late David M. and Ida Levine Greenberg. 

Jack graduated from Academy High School in 1963 and Gannon University. He served 6 years with the Army National Guard. 

He spent his entire career in the grocery business. Starting with Kroger, Jacob Haller, Loblaws and Golden Dawn. He then started his own Greenberg’s Old Country Store and JOH. 

Jack enjoyed playing tennis and was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. He was a dedicated member of the YMCA, going everyday faithfully for over 50 years. 

He also loved his dogs, Bootsie, Moses, Charlie, Bubba and beloved Maci Elizabeth.

He will be so missed by his wife of 55 years, Karen Gebler Greenberg; his children, Jason Greenberg, Abigail and Kaleb Timberlake and Jeremy and Megan Greenberg; Grandchildren, Jakob, Grace, Samantha, Alexandra, Georgia and Tucker; his sister-in-law, Marcia Gebler and niece and nephew, Kelly and Todd Gebler. He will further be missed by his cousins and many friends who could count on him for very animated conversations. 

Memorials may be made to the ANNA Shelter 1555 E. 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511 or the Erie Humane Society 2407 Zimmerly Rd. Erie, PA 16506. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
