Henry L. Miller

Henry L. Miller, 67, of Erie, transitioned into the hands of the Lord Monday, September 14, 2026, at his residence,

He was born August 8th, 1959, in Noxubee, MS, a son to Ann (Tate) Miller and the late James E. Miller, Sr.

Henry graduated from East High School, class of 1979, where he was a dedicated football player. He worked for over 20 years in behavioral health for Stairways and Gannondale, making a profound difference in the lives of the customers he cared for. Henry was an avid sports fanatic, especially football and basketball, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He always enjoyed a game of Poker. He loved traveling and taking long drives in the country. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren. Over the years, Henry gained great comfort and peace from his faith in the lord. In fact, his faith became an expression of love as he would regularly share scriptures and prayers with his beloved family and friends.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his son, Jamie Miller.

In addition to his mother, Ann, Henry is survived by a special friend, Kathy Williams; three sisters, Gloria Stewart, Ann Weems (Kenneth), and Liz Cooper (Kevin); a brother, James Miller, Jr (Kelli); grandchildren, Janelle Miller, Janiyah Miller, and Jamie Miller; nieces and nephews, Undre Stewart, Tierra King, Djuan Weems, Sherice Weems, Yolanda Bateman, Alesha Alika, Derrick and Darnell Lyons, Latajsha Weems, and Shayne Weems. He is further survived by a host of great nieces and nephews.

To my beloved brother, Henry, you were my big Henry, you made sure we were two peas in a pod. I loved coming home to talk with you; we could talk for hours at a time. I will miss you so very much. Love, Jean.
