H. Kenneth Marshall

H. Kenneth Marshall, 81 years old, of Millcreek Township, Erie, PA went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2024 at Hamot Hospital. He was born December 27, 1943 to Kenneth C. and Helen A. Marshall of Beaver, PA.

Ken (he always went by Ken) graduated from Beaver Area High School in 1961. He majored in Psychology and Physical Education at Lees Junior College, Jackson, KY and Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, KY. He also attended Waynesburg College in Waynesburg, PA where he majored in Sociology.

He moved to Edinboro, PA in 1978 and worked for the physically challenged at Edinboro University from 1978 to 1982. In 1985, he moved to Erie, PA where he worked as head supervisor for the Erie City Mission from 1988-2000.

He attended First Assembly of God on Oliver Road in Erie, PA where he was a member of the choir for several years and in many of their plays.

He enjoyed playing all sports but baseball was his passion. He played for Summerfield Little League teams from 1951-1955 and played in the Little League World Series in 1955 in Williamsport, PA. He was a member of the Little League All Stars from 1953-1955. He played for the Beaver Greys in the 1970’s which was the highlight of his sporting career.

Ken enjoyed singing, dancing, photography, biking and camping and oh, how he loved his dogs – especially Sundance (alias “The Bubba”) and Cheyenne.

Survivors include his good friend Kathrine E. Swanson of Millcreek Township, Erie, PA; his daughters, Kimberly Ann of New Brighton, PA and Bethany of Forth Worth, TX; and son, Stephen of Erie, PA. Ken always wanted us to remember “the Bible – Blessed Information Before Leaving Earth”. 

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th St., Erie, PA 16506 on Thursday January 2 from 6pm to 8pm and on Friday from 11am until time of service at 12pm officiated by Pastor Ralph J.
