It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory J. Boyce, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 65, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on September 14, 1960, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Donald and Mary Susan (Stephens) Boyce.
Greg was a graduate of McDowell High School. He became a dedicated self-employed contractor and founder of Boyce Construction. Greg was always ready to take on a new project around the house, whether it was remodeling his home or crafting unique inventions.
An avid outdoorsman, Greg found joy in hunting trips across Canada, Wyoming, and Colorado, always dreaming of one day making it to Alaska.
Greg had a deep love for his tight-knit family and enjoyed having everyone together. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Cathleen (Stoltz) Boyce, and his children: Tyler (Jolene) Boyce and their son, Wylder; Hunter (Matti) Boyce; Stacey (Travis) McCarthy and their sons, Grant and Luke; and Malorey Boyce. He is further survived by his brothers, David Boyce and Michael (Lorrie) Boyce; sisters, Judy (David) Ganch and Cindy (Doug) Lister; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends are invited to call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road., on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm and are invited to an 11 am service there on Saturday. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at AseraCare hospice for their compassion and exceptional care.
