Grady Davis Jr., born Tyrone Davis, 51, of Erie Pennsylvania, transitioned to be with the Lord on Monday, January 12th, 2026.
He was born in Erie PA on June 28th, 1974, to the late Grady Davis Sr. and Mary Davis. Wanting to be like his dad, he requested on his 16th birthday to have his name changed; and so it was, Grady Davis Jr.
Grady was a devout Christian who was first filled with the Holy Spirit on January 24, 1985, at the age of 10 under the late Bishop Tony R. Ratcliff. He loved attending church and feeling the call, eventually became an ordained minister under Bishop Frank Quinn of Christian Ministries of the Apostolic Faith Church.
Grady enjoyed playing the drums, organ and keyboard; all self-taught. He was a lover of music, in general.
Grady was a jokester who loved to laugh! His coworkers at the Amazon WEE1 facility would often be surrounded by his boisterous cackle from any area of the warehouse. Grady was a man’s man and loved working, leaving behind his favorite manager, Austin and best friends, Donna and Ray.
Grady graduated from Mercyhurst University with an associate’s degree in criminal justice with the hopes of becoming a law enforcement officer. An aspiration only thwarted by the N-Stage Renal Failure diagnosis that eventually led to his transition. Grady became an electrical journeyman and loved helping family and close friends with their electrical and mechanical needs. You could often catch Grady working on his car in his spare time while listening to a sermon or music.
Grady is lovingly survived by his mother, Mary; his older sister, LaTonya; his children, Queen, Grady III (Missy), G'Auna and his nephews, Michael, Gabriel and Rāphael (Emily). Grady is also survived by the regarded ex-wives and mothers of his children, LaRonda (Queen & Grady) and Valerie (G'Auna) (technical widow). Lastly, the beloved step siblings, of his father, Lamonte and Jeffery. He also leaves behind more distantly related family members including many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins on both maternal and paternal sides that love and adore him.
Grady is proceeded in passing by his Father, Grady Davis Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Cornelius and Mary Sue Moore and his paternal grandparents, Lavon and Lillie Hinton.
