Glenda K. Javens

Glenda K. Cordray Javens, age 78, of Girard, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Pleasant Ridge Manor.

She was born in Newell, WV on August 7, 1947, a daughter of the late Glen D. and Dora Cronin Cordray. She was a graduate of Oak Glen High School and the Pontiac Business Institute and worked in administration for Homer Laughlin China Co in WV, Pontiac Business Institute and Skippy Corp in MI. Glenda also worked at the Blue Plate Restaurant in West Springfield. She was an avid reader, and she enjoyed crocheting, playing cards at Elk Valley Manor with her friends, and sitting outside enjoying the weather with her longtime friend Ella Shepard.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Cordray; and daughter, Dena Stephens.

She is survived by her sons; Brian Javens (Sherry) of Lake City, Jamie Javens (Jessica) of Girard, and Glenn Javens (Bobbi Jo) of West Springfield. She is further survived by her many grandchildren Brianna Taylor, Damien Javens, Tyler, Troy and Trent Javens, Lita Beebe, Aubree Victor, Toshia, Cody and Andrew Stephens, Kyle Javens, Rylie Saunders, Eric Curtis, Aaron and Courtney Sterling; and many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home 525 Main Street E, Girard, on Thursday May 7, 2026, from 4:00pm until the time of service at 6:00pm.
