Gerry Ann Bender

Gerry Ann Bender, age 74, of Girard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026, surrounded by family.

She was born in Erie, PA on October 8, 1951, a daughter of George Teribery and the late Jean Kimmy Teribery.

She graduated from Girard High School in 1969. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, listening to music and flower gardening. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Mary Wortman; father-in-law, Edward Bender; brother-in-law, Bruce Copeland; brother-in-law, Lewis Brewer and sister-in-law Sandra Brewer.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert Bender; two daughters, Brandie Stevens (David) and Christine Martin (Joseph); a son, Daniel Bender; three grandchildren, Alex, Rachel and Brandon; two great grandchildren, Evelyn and Logan; a sister, Nancy Copeland; four brothers, Kevin Teribery (Cheryl), George Teribery Jr. (Sheila), Thomas Teribery (Joy), Ronald Teribery (Nancy) and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home 525 Main Street E, Girard, on Tuesday June 2, 2026, from 3:00pm - 6:00pm and attend a graveside service at Girard Cemetery at 1:00pm on Wednesday June 3, 2026.
