Geraldine "Geri" Trohoske

Geraldine “Geri” Trohoske, 86, of Erie, passed away Saturday, July 12th, 2025 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born in Erie on July 13, 1938, a daughter of the late Pat and Geraldine Wescott Angert.

She had been employed at Verizon for 40 years until retirement in 2001. She loved spending time with her grandchildren running them to their after-school activities, athletic practices, and cheering them on at their games. Everyone knew who Grandma Geri was. She enjoyed her casino day trips with her friends and could be found every Wednesday cheering on her favorite horses at Presque Isle downs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Gary John Trohoske; as well as a sister, Patricia Laughlin.

She is survived by two sons, Richard and wife Carol of Erie and Gregory and wife Kathy of Erie, two daughters, Cynthia Gawlik and husband Peter of Cleveland, OH and Sherri Sadden and husband Steven of Erie, PA. She is further survived by a sister, Sally Crotty, of Erie, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th St., Erie. Burial will take place in Erie Cemetery.
