He also served on the board of directors of the Kahkwa Club and of Villa Maria Academy. In addition, Gary taught classes for the American Institute of Banking and Erie Business Center.

Gary was a member of St. Patrick Parish, and enjoyed spending winters in Florida, and playing games with friends including golfing, duckpin bowling, bocce, and dice. He also loved celebrating holidays with his grandchildren, spending time with family, and traveling.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Nemenz, and brother-in-law, Dr. James H. Burghart.

Gary is survived by his wife, Mary B. Weibler, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage last July. He is further survived by two daughters, Vanessa Weibler and her husband Derek A. Falkenstein of Fairmont, W.Va.; and Alissa W. Hodas and her husband Brian D. Hodas of Pittsburgh, Pa.,; four grandchildren, Eliza V. Paris, Oliver H. Paris, Samuel W. Hodas, and Elliott W.
