Francis Wozniak

Francis Wozniak, age 61, of Lake City, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 31, 2026, as a result of a mowing accident.

He was born in Erie, PA on October 13, 1964, a son of the late Edward and Marth Tomko Wozniak.

He graduated from Girard High School in 1982 and went on to earn a Nurses Aid Certification from Fairview Manor. He worked as a CNA at Beverly Healthcare in Warren, PA. He was a member at St. Johns Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his dogs Zeek and Zeus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Christine and a infant nephew, Gregory Ryan Wozniak.

Fran is survived by a son Andrew J. Payne; a sister, Anna Marie Wieder and her husband Curt of Florida; two brothers, John and his wife Susan of Coraopolis, and David and his wife Carol of Florida; uncle, Daniel Tomko and his wife Ruth of Lake City; good friend, Bob Kissle; and several cousins: particularly Tony and Sandy Wozniak; and five nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday June 13th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00am with Rev Scott Detisch celebrant.

Arrangements entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard. Burial at a later date in St. John's Cemetery, Girard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Catholic Church, 1001 Main St. East; Girard.
