Francis Grace

Francis Robert Grace, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Twinbrook Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center after battling an extended illness. He was born in Erie on July 22, 1948, to Joseph and Agnes Armaghost Grace.
 
Francis dedicated 43 years of his life to Erie Forge & Steel before retiring. Even the steel forge couldn’t make a mold strong enough to hold him down! A graduate of Strong Vincent High School, he pursued carpentry and woodworking, bowling, dancing and karate. He made it to yellow belt in Kung-Fu class and believed he could do a flying side kick and a spinning back kick before he hit the ground, and boy did he hit hard, alongside his dedicated career. 
 
In addition to his parents, he is reunited with his daughter, Beulah Grace Wegelin and siblings, Joseph Grace, Arthur Grace, John Grace, and Rosie Douglas.

Francis's joyful spirit lives on through his beloved wife of 57 years, Rebecca Burnett Grace; his loving sons, Frank Robert Grace and Robert Francis Grace (Melissa); “Knuckle Head” grandchildren, Brad Wegelin (Danielle), Thomas Wegelin, Nick Kobusinski, Becca Grace, Robert Grace (Christine), Samantha Gilson (Eric) and Terry Grace (Megan); great-grandchildren, Isabella, Tommy, Riley, Bryce, Quinn, Iris, Reyna, Asher, Nellie, Weston, Christopher and Danielle; all of who adored him dearly. He is further survived by his sisters, Mary Burgette and Toni Fickenworth and brother, William Grace.

Friends are invited to call on the family Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St East, Girard from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. 

Francis’s legacy of hard work and jovial spirit will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
