Frances A. Yazvac, age 88, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at AHN St. Vincent Hospital.
She was born on May 2, 1937, in Farrell, PA, the daughter of the late Thomas and Kathryn Dolosky Yazvac.
Frances dedicated many years of service to American Sterilizer where she eventually retired from. Outside of work, she found joy in gardening and flowers, shopping for her favorite designer clothes, relaxing at the beach, and sailing. Above all, Fran cherished time spent with her family. She was a devoted and nurturing presence, always making sure her loved ones were cared for and never went without. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Lyle, and her husband Paul, as well as her niece, Lynne Lyle Huntley.
She is survived by her nieces: Stacey Bertrand (Hal), Valerie Lyle, Christine Rush (Albert); her great-nieces and nephews: Jamie Lopatynski (Justin), Kristin Isaacson (Daniel), Allison Acri-Kastovich (Ryan), Bryan Bertrand, Sarah Bertrand, Abigail Rush, Annabelle Rush, and Mason Rush; and her great-great-nieces and nephews: Addyson and Camden Lopatynski, and Rilyn and Mason Isaacson.
In accordance with Fran’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Those who wish to honor her memory are invited to make a donation to a cause close to her heart: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Frances will be remembered with love and gratitude for her selflessness, kindness, and the deep care she gave to those around her.
