Fern Goodwin

Fern Margaret Goodwin age 80, passed away from sudden health complications on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at a local Erie County hospital. 

She was born Fern Margaret Roesch in Titusville, Pennsylvania on Monday, September 8, 1941. 

She enjoyed listening to Motown and Blues style music, dancing, walking and widely known for making jokes.  

She was preceded in death by:

Her husband; Wildon (Bill) Goodwin

Daughter; Linda McGee

Granddaughter; Jasmine Goodwin

Three brothers; Donald, Arthur & Sidney

Four sisters; Tilly, Lillian, Noreen & Marilyn. 

She is survived by her son;

Khaleed Amon (Tim Goodwin)

Four Grandsons:

Wiley (Sonny) McGee, Wildon (Tee) Goodwin, Afrika McGee & Jarrell Goodwin.

Five Granddaughters:

Desiree McGee, Tashay McGee, Fernisha McGee, Efaye McGee & Nuri Henderson.

Nieces;

Kim Weaver (Daughter of sister, Marilyn) & Tonya Goodwin (Daughter of sister Noreen)

Step-Daughters:

Carrol Locust, Shirell Porter & Barbara Goodwin.

Two adopted grandsons:

Calvin Anderson & Antonio Anderson

She also leaves 25 great-grandchildren, several marital nieces, nephews and 

multiple friends. 

A solo private burial of her ashes was held at her husband's grave at Erie Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 

602 W 10th St, Erie.

Viewing services were withheld by request of the deceased because she wanted to be remembered as she was. 

Remaining ashes were divided into keepsake urns for her son and grandkids.
