Listen to Obituary

The words “well done my good and faithful servant, you have been faithful” were heard by Faith Elizabeth Hanna Heath, age 79, on December 22, 2025 as she left her earthly body at Saint Mary’s of Asbury Woods and knelt before her Savior, Jesus Christ, in her heavenly home. The witnesses who have gone before are surrounding her including her beloved husband of 42 years, William H. Heath, along with her mother Loretta L. Hanna and her father Herman D. Hanna.

Faith’s legacy for Christ started before she was born on November 2, 1946, with her name. What followed is four generations of believers in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Knowing her purpose was to glorify and tell others about Christ, Faith attended Toccoa Falls Bible College majoring in Missionary Studies. A chance touch of hands holding a hymnal changed her direction from overseas missions to a wedding and family in Erie, PA, but she never stopped fulfilling her purpose. Faith worked as a secretary at Girard Alliance Church and First Alliance Church, until her ministry of 25 years at Gospel Book & Supply Center started. The chance to give a hug, pray with those hurting, and say ‘Have a Jesus filled day!’ was her delight. She strongly believed and sacrificed for the Christian education provided at Bethel Christian School. Faith also taught children’s church, directed church productions, led Vacation Bible School, provided Bibles, sent millions of cards, and prayed relentlessly. She attended Albion Nazarene Church where she taught Adult Sunday School, in addition to her years working with children. She was faithful in her calling.

Faith was the amazing mother of two children, Daniel J. Heath of New Hampshire and Elizabeth V. Heath Haskins of Pennsylvania. She cherished her daughter in love, Patricia Yousey Heath, son in love, Christopher Haskins, and grandchildren Rachel, Nicole, Daythan, Leah, Naomi, and Andrew. She was so proud of them. Winter picnics with hot dogs roasting in the fireplace were always the highlight of family get-togethers. After the hubbub dwindled you could see her cuddled up with a cat on her lap and a dog at her feet reading, always starting in the middle of the book. She had a passion for taking care of her family, often sewing, cooking, or preserving vegetables from the garden through the night. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, brothers James and John Hanna, sisters in love Linda and Carol Hanna, neighbor and friend Char Bauer, cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as, the countless others whose lives she touched. “Well done, Mom, well done.”

In lieu of a funeral, the family will be hosting a Winter Picnic in her honor at 8420 Edinboro Road, Erie, PA 16509 on Saturday January 24, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The family would appreciate a written memory of Faith and a continuation of her legacy --to share Christ-- instead of flowers or donations.
