Evelyn Dubin Landsberg, age 98, of Erie, passed away on Monday June 1, 2026 at Forestview Nursing Home. She was born on December 25, 1927 in Hoboken, NY, a daughter of the late Bertha Rubinowitz and Morris Dubin.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, the late Daniel Morris Landsberg. They were married for 65 years. She is also preceded by her sister Edith Jacobus and brother-in-law Harold Jacobus.
She is survived by nieces and nephews: Joan Jacobus, Jeffrey (Carrie) Jacobus, Marc (Brenda) Jacobus. She is further survived by great-nieces and great-nephews: Belinda (Matthew) Rogers, Melanie (Eric) Viloria, Michael (Mallory) Jacobus, Alexander (Gus) Jacobus-Oseroff, Zachary Jacobus-Oseroff, three great-great-nieces and two great-great-nephews and her cousins Irene and Rita..
Evelyn led her life with devotion to her husband and family. She was a caregiver for one individual for many years, retiring in her 80’s. She and her husband were active members of Temple Anshe Hesed and longtime season ticket holders of the Erie Philharmonic. Evelyn kept her mind sharp by attending lectures and cultural/educational events. She found meaning by giving back to her community, volunteering for many organizations.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc. West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St., Erie, PA 16506 on Wednesday June 3rd at 3pm with Rabbi Robert Morais officiating. Burial will be in CBS Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Anshe Hesed or Springhill Benevolent Fund.
