Elouise Rose House

Elouise Rose House, age 92, left this world on December 27, 2025, at UPMC Hamot Hospital after a short illness.

She was born on November 14, 1933, in Ellisville, Mississippi, to the late Namon and Ida (Jones) McWilliams Sr.

Elouise had a passion for watching television, particularly the Food Network and "Law & Order". Elouise was a pillar of strength and faith in her community. For many years, she was a Deaconess at Morning Star Baptist Church. A strong-willed woman, she was a superwoman to her grandchildren, helping to shape their lives with her love and support. Elouise kept her family laughing, creating a legacy of joy that will carry on in their hearts.

In addition to her parents, Elouise was preceded in death by her husband, Claudie B. House Sr.; sons, Claudie B. House, Jr., Henry House, Gregory House and Frank A. House; sister, Gloria Jean McWilliams and brothers, Frank A. McWilliams and Edward S. McWilliams.

She leaves behind to cherish her in memory, six children Clara Darby, Douglas (Katrina) House, Gwendolyn House, Vivian House, Craig House and Maurice (Regina) House, all of Erie; brother, Namon (Brenda) McWilliams and sister, Catherine Collins. She is further survived by 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Abram Howse and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends are invited to call at Morning Star Baptist Church, 327 East 23rd Street, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM officiated by Pastor D. F. Hunter. Burial in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
