With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Beth” Reichert, age 63, who departed this life on November 1, 2024, at UPMC Hamot. Elizabeth was born on January 14, 1961, in Bethlehem, PA, to the late James A. and Elizabeth (Gorman) Ferguson.
Beth graduated from Jamestown High School in New York. After high school, she worked in various positions, including at the Erie KOA Campground, where she retired from 2020. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, knitting, and sampling new wines from local wineries.
In addition to her parents, Beth is preceded in death by an infant brother, James, and her father-in-law, Ronald Reichert.
Beth is survived by her husband of 39 years, Michael J. Reichert; her daughter, Dr. Katherine (Katie) Reichert; her sisters, Heather (Mike) Sabo and Denise Ferguson (Dewey Hughes); her nieces Michelle (Darrick) DeMay, Tiffany Reichert, and Mary Sabo; her nephews Stefan Sabo and Matthew (Nicole) Reichert; her great-nephews Brandon and Evan DeMay; brother-in-law Daniel Reichert (Cindy); sister-in-law Charlene Konetsky; her mother-in-law, Rosie Reichert; and her beloved grand-pets, Kennedy, Killian, Sophie, and Gracie.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the UPMC Hamot Medical ICU staff and 5 South for their exceptional care and support during Beth's stay.
Following Beth’s wishes, there will be no services. Private arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th Street, Erie. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
