Elizabeth "Betty" A. Kohl

Elizabeth “Betty” A. (Plandowski) Kohl, age 76, of Erie, passed away Saturday, December 20th, 2025, at her residence.

She was born in Lackawanna, NY on March 25, 1949, a daughter of the late Theodore and Loretta (Fronczek) Plandowski. Betty graduated from Lackawanna High School, class of 1967, and Gannon University with an Associate’s degree in accounting. She was employed as an office manager and executive secretary having worked for Hamot Medical Center, Kohl Custom Sewing, Erie County Prison and Potratz Floral. Betty enjoyed sewing, embroidery and cooking.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Kohl; her daughter, Laura (Kohl) Terry; her in laws Bruno and Irmgard (Reidl) Kohl; brother, Ronald Plandowski, and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Rogers.

Betty is survived by her son; Andrew K. Kohl; son in law, Jason Terry; and grandchildren, Grace and William Kohl, and Michael Terry, all of Erie. She is further survived by her siblings, Marion (Plandowski) Martin and Michael Plandowski of Lackawanna NY.

Friends are invited to a visitation hour on January 10th at St. Andrew’s Church, 1116 W. 7th St., Erie, PA 16502 from 10 AM until the time of mass there at 11 AM. Inurnment will take place at Whispering Pines Cremation Garden at a later date.
