Edward Hitch

Edward Charles Hitch, Jr., age 72, passed away July 17, 2016 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Parris Island, SC on September 13, 1943 son of the late Edward C. Sr. and Virginia Heal Hitch.

Edward grew up attending the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Paul, where he sang in the children’s choir and later attended Penn State Behrend. He was a van driver for the City Mission, Methodist Towers, a mail clerk at Metro Health Center, a member of the Senior Aides Program at GEGAC, and a time keeper at Riley Stoker and Turn Bull Elevator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an aunt, Frances Heal Scarlett; and an uncle, Edward C. Heal. Edward is survived by seven cousins.

No calling hours will be observed. Services and Burial are private and held at the convenience of the family by Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. , 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502
