Duane Pettigrew

Duane Douglas Pettigrew, age 64, of Fairview, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.

He was born on December 10, 1957, in Erie, to the late Dhurwood and Alice Riggan Pettigrew.

Duane was a graduate of Fairview High School. He would then work for PHB Inc. for over 25 years. Duane had a great smile, love of laughter and making others laugh. He enjoyed hunting and was a wonderful cook, albeit a messy one. For the past 5 seasons, he worked at the Over Lake golf course. Duane loved being with family and friends, they meant the world to him. He really enjoyed being "PaPa D" to Jeremy, Joshua, Ashley and Damon.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two nephews, Matthew and Jamie Pettigrew; and brother in law, Tim Rocco.

He is survived by his son, Josh Pettigrew (Nikole “Pickle”); daughter, Amber Hammond (husband Michael); the love of his life, Lisa Gindy; granddaughters, McKenzie and Summer; grandson, Vincent; great granddaughter, Kali; sister, Denise Rocco; brothers, Dhurword “Dag” Pettigrew, Dean Pettigrew, and Darian Pettigrew; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
