Douglas Slupski

Douglas Slupski, 61, of Girard, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Douglas was born in Erie, PA, on January 2, 1965, to the late David and Barbara Moritz Slupski. He graduated from St. Mark’s Seminary and attended Hiram College for one year before going on to serve in the United States Air Force. He later built a career in information technology, working as a Global Technical Administrator for SAP at The Plastek Group.

Doug was someone who found joy in the things he loved. He was an avid sports fan who could always be counted on to cheer for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians and the Arsenal soccer team. He also had a deep love of music and especially enjoyed going to concerts with his daughters. He looked forward to the experiences that came with the things he loved and the memories made along the way.

Above all, Doug was a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His family will especially miss his sense of humor and the joy he brought into their lives. He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Docter and her husband, Blake, and Allison Slupski and her fiancé Mitchell Williams; his grandson, Rowen; his sister, Theresa Shaner and her husband, Donald; his nephew, David; and his nieces, Caitlin and Cassandra.

His family will carry with them the memories of his life, the things he loved, and the moments they shared together. His absence will be deeply felt, but so will the love he gave to those closest to him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, Girard.
