David F. Heubel, age 81, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2024, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born in Erie on January 17, 1943, the son of the late Thomas and Mildred (Sinnott) Heubel.
David was a proud 1961 graduate of Cathedral Prep. Following graduation, he began his career at AMSCO, where he completed a four-year drafting apprenticeship and transitioned into sales. He dedicated 23 years to AMSCO before spending another 20 years in sales at Autoclave Engineers.
An avid outdoorsman, David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. He was a passionate boater and a member of the Commodore Perry Yacht Club (CPYC). In his later years, he discovered a love for golf, playing in multiple leagues.
David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan (Angelotti) Heubel; his brothers, Edward Heubel and James Heubel; and several in-laws: Helen Heubel, Dr. John Morris, George Banister, Robert Nelson, Marie Heubel, Patricia Heubel, Ronald Angelotti, and Frank Vona.
He is survived by his two children: David E. Heubel (Amy Ras) and Debbie Enzbrenner (Eric); three grandchildren, Allison, Erika, and Kaitlin Enzbrenner; four siblings, Thomas Heubel, Mary Rita Morris, Mitzi Banister, and Joann Nelson; and in-laws, Carol Vona, MaryLynn Angelotti, and Carol (Brahosky) Angelotti, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
David’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to UPMC Hospice, especially Stacey and Kathy, for their loving and compassionate care. They also wish to thank the staff of The Parkside Regency at South Shore for their support.
David will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
Friends are invited to call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Downtown, 602 W.10th St. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Friday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in St. Patrick Catholic church. Burial will be in Trinity cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Church.
