He spent many years hiking the Allegheny National Forest, canoeing down the Allegheny River with his sons and friends who shared his passion. For many years, he served as a role model for Scout Troop 59 and enjoyed being an active member of the troop. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling the Finger Lakes and Grand River Valley with his wife and friends.
He battled his illness privately with grace and strength, and his family shared the privilege of being by his side to support him.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to his care team; Dr. Saleha Rizwan and her nurse Jennifer, Chrissy and Jen at Saint Vincent Cancer Center, as well as Kate and Dawn from VNA for their compassionate care.
