Darlene L. Henderson departed from this world peacefully on December 23, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on May 22, 1952, in Milan, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph Springer and Joyce Ragland. 

Darlene was raised by her loving foster parents, the late Florence and Frank Delaney and graduated from Sandusky High School. She raised her own family in Sandusky, OH with her former husband Charles Henderson before moving to Erie, PA. She was a machinist with General Electric retiring after 35 years. While there, she was a member of the IUE-CWA.

Her faith was integral to her life; she found comfort in her affiliation with the Assembly of Jesus Christ Church in Sandusky, OH and as an Eastern Star- Orpha Chapter #21 in Erie, PA. She was known for her incredible cooking and knack for taking care of others. She spent summers gardening and coordinating family gatherings for her loved ones. She loved and appreciated jazz and R&B music. Travel filled her spirit, and she enjoyed sharing her adventures with those she loved. 

In addition to her parents and foster parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Angela Curtis and great-grandson Curtis Jeter III. 

Darlene’s smile will carrying on in her children whom survive her: Victor Jeter, Curtis Jeter, Joyce Jeter, Antoinette Ratcliff, Tony Ratcliff III, Asia Blaking and the many children she fostered. She was also the loving grandmother to Dameale Jenkins, Jeanine Fuqua, Hanna Hall, Victajhia Jeter, Victor Ramond Jeter, Darvon Isaac Jeter, Curtis Jeter Jr, Darious Jeter, Bryahja Bloodsworth, Josiah Bloodsworth, Ta'von Ratcliff, Tony Ratcliff IV, Xavier Ratcliff, Kendrick Jr. Blaking, Ken’Dreous Blaking, Kobe Blaking, Ken’Asia Blaking, and several great-grand children. Further surviving are her siblings, David Ragland and Noreen Delaney, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her deeply.
