Daniel Moyak

Daniel “Mad Dog” Moyak, age 78 of Erie, passed away on Tuesday July 7, 2026 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. He was born in Erie on September 10, 1947, a son of the late Paul and Marjorie Hill Moyak.

He lived an eventful life. He was a successful amateur boxer which he lived up to that reputation. He had been a member of the 1st Lower East Side Federation. He was also featured in the documentary “Tough Guys” about that membership. Danny also was a member of the Painter’s Union for many years. He was a top notch drywall finisher and was featured in an Erie News segment for his ability.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Monica.

He is survived by his ex-wife Janet Moyak and their two wonderful children Paul and Nicole Moyak as well as his sister Kathie Matha, two brothers John and Mike Moyak and several nieces and nephews.
