Cindy Wise

Cindy L. Wise age 64 of Erie, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at UPMC Hamot following a brief battle with cancer.  She was born in Erie on July 13, 1957 a daughter of the late Sherman and Virginia Burkett Yarington.

Cindy was a 1975 graduate of Girard High School. She was a member of the Sportsman’s Athletic Club; Elk’s Lodge #67, the VFW Post 740, American Legion Post 73, and the South Station 9 in Meadville. She enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, target shooting, motor cycle riding and jet skiing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Daniel and William Yarington.

She is survived by her companion of 11 years Carlton Degenhart; a son James Wise Jr. and his wife Kaylie of Erie; a Brother, James Yarington and his husband Fred Crawford of Erie; two grandchildren, Lainey and Levi Wise; and one niece of FL and three nephews of Slippery Rock.  She is further survived by three half brothers Jim Hinkler, Stephen Yarington, and David Yarington all of Erie and two half sisters Tina McCloud of Erie and Heather Yarington of MS.

A private service will be held at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, at West Ridge, 3801 West 26^th St.
