On August 24, 2026, the world lost a truly one-of-a-kind soul with the passing of Chris, affectionately known as “Junior.” Those who knew and loved her lost a treasured friend, a loyal teammate, a brilliant and curious mind, and someone whose humor, stories, and wonderfully random bits of knowledge could brighten even the most ordinary day.

Beloved daughter of Paul Perry and April Valentine, Christine was born on May 3, 1963 in Little Falls, NY. She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Perry. Chris is survived by her mother, April Valentine, her step-father Pete Valentine, and her step-mother Rosemary Perry. Brothers Mikel Perry (Iratxe), Fred Perry (Katie) and Steven Rehbein (Jenna). Her sisters, Tavia Dennison (Dan), Robin Perry (John) and Megan Wiseman (Jacob). Chris leaves behind her beloved nieces, Annika, Addison, Piper, and Cora, and nephews, Trey, Sam, Owen, and Daniel. She loved being their aunt and treasured the relationships she shared with each of them. Chris and Daniel shared an especially profound bond—a connection filled with love, understanding, and a closeness that was uniquely their own. She also leaves behind Aunt Sandra (Bob) and many cousins.

In recent years, Chris made her home in Erie, where she shared life with her lifelong best friend, Lisa (Leesie) B, and the family who became her second family; bonus mom Kathleen, sisters, Valerie, Vicke and Jennifer, brothers Kevin and John, and many, many bonus nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. More than simply the place where she lived, Erie became home; a place filled with loving friendships, laughter, belonging, and the comfort of being surrounded by people who loved her as one of their own. Her bond with Lisa, built over a lifetime of friendship, was one of the great constants of her life, and the love she found within her second family was something she deeply treasured, just as they will forever treasure her, the memories they created together, and the irreplaceable place she will always hold in their hearts.

Perhaps the best way to honor her is to carry a little of her spirit forward…stay curious, read something unexpected, spend time in nature, love animals, help someone who needs you, cheer for your team, tell a really bad dad joke—and always, always be the kind of friend people are grateful to have beside them.
